Gift Guide: A Hygge Holiday

Have you heard of the concept of hygge? It’s a Danish word that describes the feeling of being cozy. When I think “cozy,” I think about the holidays. I love putting on my PJs, grabbing a cup of hot chocolate, and spending time with family. Today’s gift guide is all about spreading the spirit of hygge with your friends and family this season!

Boden PJs: I LOVE getting a new set of PJs every winter. How cute are the presents and candy canes and swans on this set from Boden?!

Lands End Moccasins: These fuzzy slippers are on my personal wishlist this Christmas. They look so soft, and I love the personalized touch with the monogram.

Diptyque Candle: I’ve always wanted a  Diptyque candle (known for their excellent burn time and scent throw), and I especially want this unicorn version! Candles are a great gift for the fragrance obsessed!

Blanket: A soft blanket is the perfect way to embrace cozy this season. I’m of the opinion that no household ever has enough blankets!

Leith Circle Cardigan: A soft cardigan can take you (or your friend, or sister, etc.) from a day of errands to a warm night in. Your friends who live in loungewear will love this.

Tea Set: There’s something about having a warm drink in my hands that instantly calms me and makes me slow down and take in a moment. A tea gift set is a great way for the tea lover in your life to try out new flavors.

What’s on your gift list this year? Let me know in the comments! And stay tuned for more gift guides in the coming weeks!

  • This group of students went to the Louisiana State Medical Society House of Delegates yesterday as representatives of our school and the medical student section. We may have listened to debates on bylaw tedium for a little too long, but it was interesting to see how the LSMS adopts policy! #healthcare #advocacy #medschool #lifeloveandmedicine

  • @influenster sent me @Suavebeauty’s new Suave Naturals lotion and body wash to try (for free). This product line’s claim to fame is that the products are free of paraben and dyes. Parabens are preservatives used in many products. The research on their effects is inconclusive, so it’s difficult to say whether or not you should avoid parabens in products. In terms of performance of these products, they are just average. I prefer more moisturizing lotions and body washes, especially in the winter.
